Corporate General Ledger and Consolidations Accountant (# 112033) Posted: 29 Apr 2015 03:49 PM PDT Position: Corporate General Ledger and Consolidations Accountant Location: Milpitas, CA Duration: Full time Job Description: Business Unit: This position will be a member of KLA-Tencor's Corporate General Ledger (GL) and Consolidations Group Responsibilities: Perform GL monthly close duties, including but not limited to, recording standard/accrual journal entries, account reconciliations, run revaluations, and perform allocations Take full ownership of worldwide consolidation of over 30 legal entities, including translations, various types of eliminations, and loading manual entities Ability to detect certain consolidation errors and provide solutions to fix underlining issues Perform data validation to ensure accuracy and quality of data between FI, PCA, and ECCS Full ownership of GL master data creation and hierarchy maintenance Perform key SOX controls related to GL and consolidations Work closely with project implementation team to perform testing, training, and documentation of new processes Identify process improvement opportunities and develop solutions to improve operational efficiency Prepare business functional specification for new SAP reports, including performing testing and validation of the report prior to moving to production Prepare and maintain proper documentation and records of accounting / financial reporting process Preferred Qualification: SAP/Oracle experience in General Ledger and consolidations This position requires both accounting and technical knowledge Advanced analytical and critical skills to troubleshoot and identify potential gaps in new or current processes Strong communication skills and ability to translate end-user needs into IT solutions Strong leadership to manage small improvement projects which involve cross functional teams Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets is required Flexibility in fulfilling ad hoc analytical requests in global corporate environment  Experience in multinational organization a plus Minimum Qualifications: BA/BS in Finance/Accounting or equivalent with at least 5years of experience in GL /consolidation or equivalent.
